 | Jubert Pineda Associate Professor, The University of Newcastle Australia. Jubert Pineda holds an Associate Professor position at the Priority Research Centre for Geotechnical Science and Engineering (PRCGSE) in The University of Newcastle Australia. He has done research in, and has made contributions to, soft soils engineering, unsaturated soils, hard soils-soft rocks, and more recently rockfills and tailings behaviour. Since the establishment of the National soft soil Field Testing Facility (NFTF) in 2013 in the town of Ballina, NSW (Australia), he has led research projects involving advanced in situ and laboratory testing as well as physical modelling of natural soft soils.
